(Hamilton, NY – Feb. 2015) Have you heard the recent buzz in literary news?
Known for witty satire, poetry, essays, and cartoons, The New Yorker was first published Feb. 21, 1925. As The New Yorker turns 90 years old, come celebrate with us. Stop by the Hamilton Public Library to enjoy reading the current publication or recent past editions of The New Yorker. Do you have a favorite New Yorker writer or cartoonist? What aspect of the magazine do you like best? We’d love to know what you think about this timeless treasure.

A newly discovered Dr. Seuss book is on the way. Mark your calendars– What Pet Should I Get? is being published late this July. If you’re a local Seuss fan, you won’t want to miss our second annual community-wide Seuss Saturday in the village of Hamilton, next Saturday, Feb. 28, from 10am-3pm. Visit bit.ly/seuss2015 for the most up-to-date schedule of Seuss Saturday events. You’ll find most of the day’s programs and activities are free of charge.

We’re also looking forward to the publication of Go Set a Watchman, Harper Lee’s long forgotten manuscript that inspired her to write To Kill a Mockingbird. This book, featuring beloved character, Scout Finch, as an adult revisiting her hometown and childhood memories, is due to be published this July.
