(Rome, NY- March 2015) Central New York Roller Derby (CNYRD) is pleased to announce that they’ll be hosting their first women’s flat track roller derby tournament on March 27 and 28 at the John F. Kennedy Civic Area, 500 W. Embargo St. in Rome.
Each day will feature six full length roller derby games. The weekend includes teams traveling from Cleveland, Ohio, Waterbury, Conn., Hagerstown, Md. and Schenectady, NY. Games start at 9 a.m. both days and Sunday will conclude with an awards ceremony.
The Siege of CNY features a format consisting of two individual four team round robins. One group of teams will feature “A level” Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby sanctioned games including CNYRD’s own CNY All Stars, Burning River All Stars, Connecticut All-Stars, and Mason-Dixon All Stars. The “B level” group includes CNYRD’s Wonder Brawlers, HazMat Crew, Herculadies, and Yankee Brutals.
Bring your own chair for trackside seating.
