MILLER-MOR-WSB-2015(Morrisville, NY – March 2015) The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its softball player and pitcher of the week, naming Morrisville State College sophomore Liz Miler (East Greenbush, N.Y.) the player of the week for the week ending March 22.

Miller posted a .360 batting average (9-for-25) while scoring seven runs through eight games during the team’s spring break training trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Her four RBI’s, two triples and two stolen bases on the week came during Mustang victories, including a single game best 3-for-4 at bat with a triple, two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base in a 13-4 victory over Sarah Lawrence. Miller followed that performance with another 3-for-4 appearance in a 2-1 win over Southern Vermont where she posted a triple, and scored two runs. In that same contest she drove in the first before scoring the game winner in extra innings.

Miller is a graduate of Columbia High and is majoring in sports, nutrition and fitness management at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Julie and Tom Miller of East Greenbush.
