(Oneida, NY- May 2015) The 3rd Anniversary of the award winning Tuesdays on the Towpath begins in Oneida on May 12 at 6 p.m.
Participants are asked to meet at Oneida Commons located at 157 Cedar St. in Oneida. This ride is an 8.2 mile loop around Oneida that includes a section along the flat, off-road Old Erie Canal towpath as well as along a portion of the city’s Oneida Rail Trail.
Jamie Hart of the Oneida Rail Trail Committee will be there to talk about the development this new rails-to-trails project in the city of Oneida.
The Oneida Commons will be open until 7 p.m. that evening.
Tuesdays on the Towpath is a series of eight recreational bike rides on the Old Erie Canal State Historic Park Towpath. Bring your bike and join us the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, May-August. All rides begin at 6 p.m. and are about 10 miles.
All riders welcome. Helmets required.
