Hamilton Public Library News

(Hamilton, NY – June 2015) The Hamilton Public Library is pleased to welcome three new Library Clerks to our staff this spring. Our Library Clerks are often the first staff members you may see as you come into the library. They manage all the functions at the circulation desk, refer patrons to specific resources that best meet their needs, help provide individual assistance with accessing those resources, directly maintain our material collections, and much more!
Renee Rashfordhas a great love of books, reading, and community service. She has extensive professional experience substitute teaching, including work opportunities in an elementary school library. She comes very highly recommended by all of her references and is excited about joining our team.
Wendy Watkins is very detail oriented with a background in customer service. She also has a wealth of experience with a variety of computer applications. Wendy is enthusiastic about our Library programs and services, and excited about the overall development in Library trends. She is also a quick learner with experience training others. She also comes to us highly recommended by all of her references andwe have been very impressed with her warm, welcoming, and easy going outlook.
Caprice Markowski enjoys working with people, and is looking forward to the opportunity to build connections and develop rapport through her work at the Library. In addition to working with us evenings and weekends, Caprice also works in the Special Education Department for the Hamilton Central School District and volunteers at the Friendship Inn in Morrisville. She has similar Library experience, having thoroughly enjoyed working at the Canastota Public Library years ago.
We are excited to have Renee, Wendy, and Caprice joining our Library team, and are confident they will help carry on our tradition of outstanding service with a smile. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to our newest staff members and welcome them the next time you visit us.

The library is normally open Monday-Friday, 10am to 7pm, and Saturday, 10am to1pm. Please visit or call the library (315) 824-3060 during these hours for assistance. The book drop at the front of the building is always available for your convenience.
