(New Woodstock NY – July 2015) Summer is heating up at the New Woodstock Free Library with featured children’s programs every Monday at 2 p.m., Family Movie Night July 17 and Aug. 21, and the “Little Readers” program Aug. 8 and Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. 

A new exhibitNew Woodstock Past, Present & Future” will be on display July 18 through Aug. 14.

The Book Group meets July 21 and Aug. 18 from 7 to 8:30 pm.

Old Home Day, which happens every other year, will include a chicken barbecue at the fire department, garage sales, a parade, a pancake breakfast at the Legion and luncheon at the Federated Church.  The Historical Society Depot will be open with a vintage car show, horseshoes and croquet, craft vendors and a look at the newly renovated caboose.  Wagon rides around the hamlet are available for the first time this year.  R2D2 will be at the Library from 1 to 2 p.m.  Old Home Day is Saturday, July 25.

The library is open Monday-Friday 1-5 pm, Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm, and Saturdays from 10-1 pm.   The library is also open whenever the blue library flag is displayed.
