(New Woodstock, NY – Aug. 2015) As summer begins its inevitable slide into autumn, the New Woodstock Free Library is busy with programs and events of all kinds.

The children’s summer events program, AKA Summer Reading Program (SRP) finishes up the season with Gravitational Bull Juggling on Aug.10; the Out of Cage Pet Mobile on Aug. 17 and Dan the Snakeman on Aug. 24.  These programs start at 2 p.m.

The next art exhibit is paintings by Jay Pullman.  The exhibit runs from Aug. 17 to Sept. 25 with an open artist’s reception from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 28.

The next Book Group meeting is Tuesday Aug.18 at 7 p.m.

Family Movie Night is Friday Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. is the animated feature “Home.”

Little Readers with Kara Burry will be held Saturday Aug. 22 at 11 a.m.

Students who have reading or summer projects to complete for school can ask library staff for assistance.

The library is open Monday-Friday 1-5 pm, Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm, and Saturdays from 10-1 pm.   The library is also open whenever the blue library flag is displayed.
