Oneida police patch(Oneida, NY – Sept. 19, 2015) Jennifer A. Shaughnessy, 39, of Creek Road, Oneida was arrested Sept. 15 on a Bench Warrant for allegedly failing to pay restitution and fail to appear on a charge of trespass.

John L Chesebro II, 33, of Prospect Street, Oneida was charged Sept. 17 with second-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Operating a vehicle while using a cell phone.

Oneida City Police investigated and reported two arrests of the sale and possession of illegal drugs. The cases are not connected.

John W. Carroll II, 32, of Hayes Road, Florence was arrested Sept. 15 on a Superior Court Arrest Warrant on charges of; third-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a class B Felony and third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class B Felony. He is alleged to have possessed and sold heroin. He was arraigned in Madison County Court Sept. 15 and remanded to Madison County Jail in lieu of bail set at $10,000 cash or bond to appear Sept. 17.

Dale E. Martin Sr., 51, of N. Broad Street, Oneida was arrested Sept. 16 on a Superior Court Arrest Warrant on charges of; fourth-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a class C Felony and fifth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class D Felony. He is alleged to have possessed and sold Suboxone. He was arraigned in Madison County Court and remanded to Madison County Jail without bail.

State Police Release Results of National “Drunk Driving, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Crackdown and Labor Day Enforcement

During the National “Drunk Driving, Drive Sober or get Pulled Over” campaign from Aug. 21 through Sept. 7 the New York State Police issued 47,359 tickets.

During the crackdown State Police targeted impaired and distracted driving, speeding, move over violations and those not buckled up.

Of the tickets issued, 18,660 were for speeding, 2,522 child restraint and seatbelt violations, 556 move over tickets, and 1,613 for distracted driving.

Troopers arrested 769 people for DWI during this crackdown enforcement.

Troopers conducted sobriety checkpoints and more than 21,000 vehicles passed though. Seventy two of the motorists stopped were arrested for DWI.

During the Labor Day weekend from Sept. 4 to 7, the New York State Police issued more than 10,000 tickets. Below is a sample of the total tickets written.
