(Morrisville, NY – Oct. 2015)This Friday Oct. 9 join us for a historic talk about Pvt. Lyons Wakeman at 6:30pm. Join Civil War re-enactor, Melanie Martin, as she shares with us about this great “man.”
This Saturday Oct. 10 the library will be hosting a portion of MHPC’s Landmark’s Day. Join the MHPC at the Engine House up the street at 10am for the Marion Howlett Taylor Award. After the presentation, walk down to the library for a Virtual Tour of our Local Landmarks presented by our Village Historian, Sue Greenhagen. Then if you feel like taking a self-guided walking tour of the local Landmarks, grab a map and head on your way. Grab some refreshments on your way out.
Kiddies Korner, has begun. Bring your preschool child on Tuesday Oct. 13 at 10am as we will be reading about “Going on a Bear Hunt.”. Stories, finger plays, rhymes, crafts and more. If you cannot make that day, join us the following week on Tuesday Oct. 20 for “From A to Z.”
Our first book talk will be here soon on Friday Oct. 16 at 12:15pm. The book we will be discussing is James Scott’s “The Kept.” Copies can be picked up now.
Join us for Tai Chi Chuan Class Monday Oct. 19 at 6:30pm. The group is facilitated by Morrisville State College Professor, William Snyder. New people are welcome at any time. Best part, it’s free. If you can’t make this day, join them on Oct. 26.
Be sure to join us on Friday Oct. 23 for our Family Movie Night at 7:00pm. We are showing the new 2014 version of “Poltergeist.” This is PG-13 so make sure if you are under 13 you bring your parent or guardian. Popcorn will be provided. Just bring your own beverage.
We will be closed on Monday Oct. 12 to observe Columbus Day. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
