(Oneida, NY – Oct. 2015) Oneida Public Library’s fall adult art workshop features instructor Jack Cotten in a four- session “Pen, Ink and Watercolors” class on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Oct. 21 and 28 and Nov. 4 and 11.

The free workshop will involve intermediate-level students in learning the mixed media genre of pen and ink drawing followed by a watercolor wash. The technique is said to enhance watercolor paintings with a sharpness and depth unrealizable with watercolors alone.

Cotten, a resident of Oneida, has spent many years drawing, painting and teaching art after his retirement from business. He has had several one-man art shows around the region, including one at the OPL in 2007.

The workshop is free and open to all adults, but the class is limited to 20 people. Preregister for the workshop at the OPL desk or by calling 363-3050. Registrants can pick up at the desk a list of required art supplies.

For more information, stop by the Oneida Library, 220 Broad St., or call Jack Cotten at 363-5885.
