(Utica, NY – Nov. 2015) CNY Veteran’s Outreach Center will be holding a 5k run through Proctor Park in Utica, on Veterans Day Nov. 11. The run will begin at 9 a.m. at the Welsh Bush Road park entrance and finish at the same location.
Registration forms can be downloaded at www.cny.org.
There will be a $20 registration fee for all runners, and all funds raised will go toward providing meals for Veterans and their Families in need for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The CNY VOC will also collecting other items on race day, such as:
Winter coats
Hats/gloves
Socks
Canned and dry goods
Frozen Turkeys or hams
Bottles and cans
Unwanted Christmas lights
Used or unwanted cell phones
The Center itself will be open from 9am to 3pm for our annual Veterans Day open house. We encourage people that do not want to participate in the race to please stop by the center and get a first-hand look at the progress being made and the services offered by the CNY VOC.
The Center is open Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm for drop offs.
Please leave after hours drop offs at the front of the center by the café doors.
