(Morrisville, NY – Nov. 2015) Be sure to join us Thursday Dec. 3 for Essential Oils at 6:30pm.  Join Robin Suarez as she helps us to better our lives naturally.  Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in flowers, seeds, bark, roots and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.

Join us for Tai Chi Chuan Class Monday Dec. 7 at 6:30pm. The group is facilitated by Morrisville State College Professor, William Snyder.  New people are welcome at any time.  Best part, it’s free.  If you can’t make this day, join them on Dec. 14.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour is in full swing.  Bring your preschool child on Tuesday Dec. 8 at 10am as we will be reading about puppies and kittens.  Stories, finger plays, rhymes, crafts and more. If you cannot make that day, join us the following week on Tuesday Dec. 15 for stories about penguins.

Join us on Wednesday Dec. 9 for our final book talk of the year.  We will be talking about The Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline at 1:00pm.  Copies can be picked up now.

On Friday Dec. 11 join us for Annual Open House from 5:00-8:00pm.  Come see what theme we chose this year for our Christmas tree.  Eat some yummy goodies.   Be sure to sign up for your chance to win our “Elf on a Shelf” book.  We will be giving it away before Christmas.  We are also changing it up this year.  Come see Santa, participate in either the cookie swap, ornament swap or both.  The kids can watch some Christmas movies, make some ornaments and see Santa too.  Lots of fun for the ENTIRE family.

Bring the family in for our holiday tradition on Friday Dec. 18 at 7:00pm.  We will be showing the movie, The Polar Express. We will provide the hot cocoa and cookies, & other magical effects; REMEMBER to wear your PJ’s..

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

 

Dec. 2015 Programs at Morrisville Public Library

 LIBRARY CLOSURES:  The library will be closing at 4pm on Thursday Dec. 24 and will not reopen until Monday January 4, 2016.

 Giving Tree Fundraiser:  Shop for the library this holiday season now until Saturday Jan. 30.  We have several items the library needs. It’s EASY.  Grab a Christmas tag off our giving tree of something you would like to donate to the library.  Buy it, donate it, whatever it says and bring the tag and the item in as soon as you can.  We would like all donations turned in by February 29, 2016.

 Kiddies Korner: Bring your preschool child in to hear some stories about “When it Snows-Winter.” on Tuesday Dec. 1 at 10:00am.

 Tai Chi Chuan Class:  Come participate in Tai Chi Chuan with Morrisville State College Professor, Bill Snyder on Monday Dec. 7, 14 and 21 at 6:30pm.  This is a free program so we hope to see you here.

 Book Talk- Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline:  Join us for our next book talk, Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, on Wednesday Dec. 9 at 1:00pm.  Stop in and get your copy now then join us for a discussion.  Don’t forget to bring your lunch. (PLEASE NOTE:  This has been rescheduled from November.)
