AP_Logo_Vertical_2C_TM(Morrisville, NY – Jan. 2016) Creating a transition plan to make sure a farm continues as a productive business can be challenging. Farm women can learn how to plan a successful farm transition in a five-session course offered by Madison County Cornell Cooperative Extension. The Annie’s Project, “Managing for Today and Tomorrow: Farm Transition Planning” program will begin on Thursday Feb. 4 and will be held at CCE Madison County, 100 Eaton St. in Morrisville.

Course size is limited, so please register soon. Limiting class size allows each participant to better participate in class activities and discussions with our speakers.

Farm women will learn about business, estate, retirement and succession planning from Extension Educators and area professionals. In addition to brief presentations, there will be discussions based on participant questions and follow-up activities for family members to complete at home.

Farm women may register online at: https://reg.cce.cornell.edu/AnniesProjectMTT_225.  You may also register by contacting Katherine Brosnan at 315-684-3001 ext. 100 or kmb279@cornell.edu, or visit www.madisoncountycce.org for additional information.
