
(Morrisville, NY – Jan. 2016) Morrisville State College junior guard, Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston, N.Y.), was one of five players to be recognized nationally earning a spot on the D3hoops.com Women’s Basketball Team of the Week as presented by Scoutware on Tuesday.
D3hoops.com is in its 18th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions throughout the week.
Anderson led Morrisville State to a 3-0 week behind a collegiate best week. She started the week with a 10 point performance against Keuka College before posting a collegiate high 27 points and eight assists in a 77-70 overtime win over NEAC undefeated Lancaster Bible College.
In that same contest, Anderson shot 50% from the floor and converted 15-of-17 free throws (88.2 percent), while adding three steals to her totals on the day.
She capped off the week with a 20- point performance against Penn State Berks to lead the Mustangs in the conference win, adding another eight assists.
Anderson averaged 19.0 points per game, shot 41.7 percent from the floor, 71.4 percent from the free throw line (25-35), and dished out on average 6.0 assists per game.
The junior is a graduate of Unadilla Valley High and is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Steve and Wendy Anderson of West Edmeston.
