Morrisville State College(Morrisville, NY – Feb. 12, 2016) Morrisville State College University Police recently hosted a series of trainings for law enforcement agencies in Madison County on the college campus.

Partnering with the Madison County District Attorney’s Office and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office/STOP DWI program, they offered the following training:

Identification Procedures: Best Practices, which covered how to conduct investigation procedures and the present law of identification procedures.

The Anatomy of an Animal Cruelty Investigator, which focused on laws and ordinances dealing with animal cruelty and resources training available to law enforcement.

Recurring Legal Issues in Madison County, which covered recurring local issues arising from various criminal law statutes.

The sessions brought in more than 50 officers from several agencies, including the college’s University Police, New York State Police, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Canastota and Village of Cazenovia Police.
