AndersonJ15(West Edmeston) The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2015-16 Women’s Basketball All-Conference first, second and third team selections, naming Morrisville State College junior Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston) to its first team.

Anderson earns All-Conference First Team accolades for the first time in her career, starting all 25 games for the Mustangs at point guard. On average she played 36.7 minutes per game, while posting a team high 383 points, 125 assists, 81 steals, 149 free throws, and was second overall in field goals scored (110) through the regular season.

The junior posted double figures in all games but three across the year, including a high 27 in the win over Lancaster Bible. Anderson also had a single game high nine assists in the victory over Gallaudet, and collected her lone collegiate double-double against Wells behind 12 points and 12 rebounds. Six times on the season she posted 20+ points for the Mustangs.

Anderson became the all-time leading scorer in Morrisville State women’s basketball in the win over Keuka; and to close out the regular season, reached the 1,000 point milestone against Cazenovia to become the first player in women’s basketball history at Morrisville State to reach the mark.

Anderson averaged 15.3 points across the year per game, shot 74.1% from the free throw line, averaged 5.0 assists per game, and 3.2 steals per game.  Overall in the NEAC she ranked second in free throws made (149), second in assists (125), fourth in steals (81), and was 11th in points scored (383), ranking 15th in points per game (15.3).

Within the NCAA, Anderson holds several national rankings, including 30th in assists, 34th in assists per game, third in free throw attempts, 32nd in steals and 37th in steals per game, and is currently the national leader in 1st in free throws made.

Anderson was named the NEAC Player of the Week Feb. 15, and was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, Jan. 20. She was the 2013-14 NEAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman.

Morrisville State earned the second overall seed in the NEAC Tournament in the North Division following an 18-7 regular season finish. They advanced to the semifinals of the Tournament after defeating Wells College 70-60 on Tuesday, and will face regular season champion Lancaster Bible Saturday.
