Dr. Lee M. Seversky, research scientist at the U.S. Air Force Laboratory in Rome, will reveal the science behind computerized 3D modeling, robotic navigation and virtual reality. He will also provide interactive, hands-on demonstrations of 3D hardware.

The Board of Trustees of Oneida Public Library will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, April 12, at 5:00 p.m. in the library’s local History Room, 220 Broad St., Oneida. The public is invited to attend. The History Room permits barrier-free access to the physically handicapped.

The film tells the tale of the talking polar bear Norm and his sidekicks, the lemmings, as they take on the Big Apple and Big Business to save the Arctic from commercial exploitation.

In cooperation with the National Abolitionist Hall of Fame and the National Endowment for the Humanities, the OPL will show the one-hour PBS documentary “The March,” which chronicles the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Max Smith will guide the discussion that follows. Refreshments will be served.

Spring Break: Introducing the Wish Fairy

Young elementary-school students on spring break will enjoy hearing the story of Misty the Wish Fairy from her creator, author Sandra Reilly. The Wish Fairy is featured in a series of four small chapter books. Reilly will also lead the children in making a “wishing” charm bracelet. Supplies will be provided.
