AndersonJ15(West Edmeston) The Eastern College Athletic Conference has announced its 2016 Division III Upstate Women’s Basketball All-Star selections, naming Morrisville State College junior guard, Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston) to its second team.

Anderson, a first team All-North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) selection, wrapped up her junior season averaging 15.3 points per game in 37.0 minutes of action per game, while adding 4.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.2 steals per game.

The junior point guard posted double figures in all games but three across the year, including a high 27 in the win over Lancaster Bible. Anderson also had a single game high nine assists in the victory over Gallaudet, and collected her lone collegiate double-double against Wells behind 12 points and 12 rebounds. Six times on the season she posted 20+ points for the Mustangs.

Anderson became the all-time leading scorer in Morrisville State women’s basketball in the win over Keuka; and to close out the regular season, reached the 1,000 point milestone against Cazenovia to become the first player in women’s basketball history at Morrisville State to reach the mark. She played a key role in leading Morrisville State back to the NEAC Championship Tournament this season.

Within the NCAA, Anderson holds several national rankings, including 30th in assists, 34th in assists per game, third in free throw attempts, 32nd in steals and 37th in steals per game, and is currently the national leader in 1st in free throws made.
Anderson was named the NEAC Player of the Week Feb. 15, and was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, Jan. 20.

A graduate of Unadilla Valley, Anderson is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State. She is the daughter Wendy and Steve Anderson of West Edmeston.
