Georgetown native is on production team for this dynamic runway show
Cazenovia College’s Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising students will present the College’s 43rd Annual Student Fashion Show, “The Art of Fashion,” which takes the stage Saturday, April 23, at 6 p.m. at The Landmark Theatre in Syracuse. Attendance at this event is anticipated to exceed 1,000 people.
Esther Lyon, a senior from Georgetown, serves on the production team for this dynamic runway show and is a business management major with a specialization in fashion merchandising. While at Cazenovia College, Lyon interned at Lillie Bean in Cazenovia, where she integrated her love for fashion, merchandising, business and marketing. Specifically, she had the opportunity to work with the store owner on a number of tasks including placing orders, displaying merchandise, bookkeeping, visual marketing and event planning. Her future plans include opening a business with her sister and starting a fashion blog.
“Through my class experience at Cazenovia College and involvement in product development, I am excited for a career in fashion,” said Esther Lyon.
All elements of the show including staging, choreography, graphic design, photography, and music are produced solely by the students of the college’s Fashion Show Production class. Nine fashion design seniors will present their capstone collections. Lyon and five other fashion merchandising seniors will also display their talents, as they are coordinating the production of the show.
