The Oneida Rail Trail follows the path of three former railroads that traversed the city of Oneida. The enhanced non-motorized 11.3-mile multi-use trail system interconnects and triangulates these three former railbeds. This enhanced trail system is easily accessible from many existing neighborhood access points and connects schools, neighborhoods, parks, and all commercial corridors, the five corners area, Genesee Street, the Erie Canal Trailway and the Oneida City Center. The project is a collaborative effort between the city of Oneida, Madison County and the Oneida Improvement Committee, Inc.
