On May 6, at approximately 5:34 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle, Shabree J. Beatty, 23, of Menands, and his passenger, Tavasha L. Gaddy, 26, of Albany, were found to be in possession of more than 3 ounces of heroin and approximately 7 grams of crack-cocaine. Beatty and Gaddy were both transported and processed at SP Albany.
Beatty was subsequently charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree; a Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree: Intent to Sell; a Class C Felony
He was arraigned before the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or bond.
Gaddy was subsequently charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree; a Class C Felony
She was arraigned before the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or bond.
