In order to make this event free of charge we, View, have started a crowd funding campaign with the Adirondack Foundation. Donations support stipends for the authors and operations costs for the event. To find out more about this campaign visit Adirondack Gives-Adirondack Authors Evening to help support.
Adirondack Authors Evening gives local, regional, and internationally recognized authors and up-and-coming writers the opportunity to read their work to a receptive audience. This event includes book signings, wine and hors d’ oeuvres, scheduled author readings, and an open mic night to create an overall fun, comfortable, and enjoyable community experience, collaboration, and conversation.
It went from six published authors to now seven published authors who will read their work at the event! This event allows creative poetry, non-fiction, and fiction works to become a cohesive narrative between important human topics such as place, gender, and the environment. This allows for multiple perspectives and points of view to come to the fore and integrate themselves into a greater community dialogue. Come be a part of this very special experience, get to know the authors, and maybe read your own work!
