On May 26 at approximately 2:31 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Kurt T. Huffman, 55, of Farmington, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana.
He was transported and processed at SP Syracuse, where his blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.12 percent. Additionally, he has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and as a result was subsequently charged with:
- driving while intoxicated; a class E felony
- unlawful possession of marijuana; a violation
Huffman was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to Salina Town Court June 2 at 5 p.m.
