John A. Russo and County Executive Anthony Picente to be Honored; Former Major League Pitcher Frank DiPino to be Guest Speaker
The Knights of St. John International, St. Anthony of Padua Commandery #385 will be holding its Annual Prayer Breakfast Sunday, Oct. 16, at Club Monarch in Yorkville from noon to 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple.
The 2016 honorees are John A. Russo, who will receive the Knights of St. John International, St. Anthony of Padua Commandery No. 385 Lifetime Achievement Award, and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, who will receive The Friend of the Knights Award.
The speaker for the event is former Major League Pitcher Frank DiPino. DiPino played for the Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals most prominently throughout his 12-year career.
The Knights of St. John International is a society of Catholic men organized in the United States in the late 19th Century by bonding together a number of uniformed, Catholic, semi-military societies under the title “Roman Catholic Union of the Knights of St. John.”
