United Way is focused on supporting the building blocks for a good quality of life. Education is among the top priorities locally and United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area works year-round to make sure students are ready for school.
Being prepared with the tools to learn is critical for success in school and life. United Way collected school supplies through its sixth annual Back-to-School Supply Drive. Local schools and agencies in Herkimer and Oneida counties will receive school supplies to help offset the financial burden many families face during the back-to-school season.
The donated supplies will help ensure that local children have the materials they need to start school confident and ready to learn.
The Back to School Supply Drive is financially sponsored by Berkshire Bank and Max L. Cowen’s Student Stores.
