Dr. Janice Hauge qualified for commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps. She was an honor graduate in the leadership training course and graduated first in her class of 1988.
An outstanding scholar-athlete, she received the Paul S. Langa Prize Scholarship, which is awarded to the Hamilton student who has “demonstrated academic excellence along with outstanding determination, leadership and commitment in extracurricular activities.”
She earned a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics in 1991 and her Ph.D. from University of Florida in 2001. She is a recognized authority on telecommunications policy research.
A recipient of UNT’s President’s Council Teaching Award, Hauge teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in microeconomics theory, industrial organization, and strategic behavior.
