To the Editor:
As you know, election day is not far away. You, the residents of the town of Madison, have been very kind and supportive to me over the past elections. I’ve been proud to serve our community over the years and have always tried to serve with integrity and honesty.
This year I had this idea to “retire.” Nearly all of my friends and colleagues have encouraged me to stay on the town board. So once again, I’m going to run for town council, but this year I’m running as a “write-in” candidate, and here I need the community’s support.
My name will not appear on the November ballot. I’m asking supporters to write in my name in the very last box on the bottom of the ballot. The election commission will accept misspelling, but it has to be kept within the write-in box. Voters can write “JLundrigan” or “JimL” to make it easier.
Please continue to support me by the write-in vote in this November’s election.
If you have any questions/concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at 315-240-3244.
Again, thank you for your continued support.
Yours truly, Jim Lundrigan, Madison
