Richfield Springs man arrested for arson after setting his ex-girlfriend’s personal property on fire then sending a picture
On Jan. 25, 2018, state Police at Richfield Springs arrested Greg D. Dyn, 46, of Richfield Springs, for the misdemeanor of fifth-degree arson.
On Jan. 22, 2018, troopers were advised of a dispute that occurred during a cell phone conversation with the complainant’s ex-boyfriend. An investigation determined that on Jan. 21, 2018, at about 4 p.m., during an argument with his ex-girlfriend by cell phone, Dyn had sent her pictures of some of her clothing and personal items that he had set on fire.
Further investigation determined that he had done this with some of her personal items that were still at his home, outside on Mulligan Road, in the town of Exeter.
Dyn was arraigned in the town of Exeter Court and was released on his own recognizance. An order of protection was issued against him a behalf of the victim. Dyn’s next scheduled court date, in the town of Exeter, is Jan. 31, 2018.
