Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi issued this statement, following the announcement Thursday by Gov. Andrew Cuomo that he is awarding $22.7 million to provide high-speed broadband service to more than 13,000 homes and businesses in the Mohawk Valley:
“High-speed broadband service is something every New York resident needs access to in our high tech world. Frequently I hear from constituents who are frustrated by not having reliable Internet service. This funding will help solve this problem for thousands of Mohawk Valley business owners and residents. In turn, these improvements will boost our state’s economy, providing access many people need to run their business, take college courses, and access information they need in their day to day lives. I want to thank Governor Cuomo for his commitment to bringing high speed Internet connectivity to all New Yorkers.”
