Scriba woman facing multiple felony charges following traffic stop
State Police in Fulton charged Jamie M. Bigwitch, 37, of County Route 4, Oswego, with felony Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law.
On Sunday March 25, 2018, Troopers stopped a speeding vehicle on County Route 4 in Scriba, Oswego County. Troopers determined the operator, Jamie M. Bigwitch, 37, of Scriba, was intoxicated, while traveling with a child under the age of 16 in the vehicle.
Bigwitch was taken into custody and charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated due to a prior conviction within ten years, felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a child less than 16 years old under Leandra’s Law, felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, both class “A” misdemeanors, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, and several vehicle and traffic law violations.
Bigwitch was arraigned in Volney town court, and remanded to the Oswego County Justice Center in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 secure bond. She is scheduled to return to Scriba town court on April 12, 2018.
