BLOTTER: Oneida Police charges five in meth manufacturing case
On Friday, March 30, 2018, the Oneida City Police conducted an investigation into the unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine occurring in an apartment at 126 Williams St. During the course of the investigation, and subsequent search warrant, the Oneida City Police and New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team located evidence consistent with the unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. Through investigation, numerous suspects were identified leading to the arrests of five individuals, as follows:
Brett Parks, 30, of Blossvale, was charged with the following charges. He was arraigned before the Oneida City Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $20k bail or $40k bond. He will reappear before the Court on another date/time.
- Endangering the welfare of a child
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Second-degree reckless endangerment
- Second-degree criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials
- Third-degree unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine
Skyler Glouse, 23, of Oneida, was charged with the following charges. He was arraigned before the Oneida City Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail without bail/bond. He will reappear before the Court on another date/time.
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7 th
- Reckless Endangerment 2 nd
- Criminal Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials 2 nd
- Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine 3 rd
Kelly Franklin, 34, of Oneida, was charged with the following charges. She was arraigned before the Oneida City Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $5k bail or $10k bond. She will reappear before the Court on another date/time.
- Unlawful disposal of meth lab materials
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Brittany Horton, 27, of Oneida, was charged with the following charges. She was
arraigned before the Oneida City Court and will reappear before the Court on another date/time.
- Endangering the welfare of a child
- Unlawful possession of marijuana
Joshua Peters, 32, of Oneida was charged with the following charge and will appear before the Oneida City Court on a later date/time.
- Second-degree criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials
The Oneida City Fire Department, Vineall Ambulance, Madison County Child Protective Services, and New York State Parole also assisted.
