Madison and Oneida sheriff’s offices announce combined drug task force
Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol and Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood recently announced the newly formed combined drug task force.
Maciol and Hood said they recognized they would be able to combat the drug problem in their counties more effectively if they combined the resources and expertise from both agencies, so they formed a drug task force.
This newly formed task force will combine narcotics investigators from both sheriffs’ offices who will work together to combat the dangerous drugs plaguing both counties. Task force investigators have been cross-deputized by both sheriffs and have full jurisdiction to enforce the laws of New York state regarding the possession, sale, manufacture and distribution of illegal narcotics.
The pair said they hope this approach will create a safer society for the citizens of Oneida and Madison counties.
