Great Swamp announces 17th annual Spring Migration Festival
The Great Swamp Conservancy will host its 17th annual Spring Migration Festival celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday May 5 and 6, 2018, at the GSC.
Westy’s Birds of Prey, KritterKris and Feathered Friends, live baby pheasants and animals from the Utica Zoo Mobile are among the lineup.
In addition:
- The works of featured artist Eli Thomas and other wildlife painters will be on display.
- Dove Creek, Liz Friedel and Al Krula will perform.
- The Zip Thru Obstacle Course, Maple Hedge horse rides and pond explorations will be available to entertain visitors.
- Saturday will feature the annual chicken barbeque.
- Take a guided bird walk, or have a lively chat with Onondaga Audubon and New York Sturgeon for Tomorrow representatives. Get free potting soil and seeds, and find some great plants to jumpstart your gardening season.
- Play fun games and make cool nature crafts.
Food is available in the Lady Bug Café both days.
