Pulaski man arrested on child pornography charges
The New York State Police in Pulaski arrested Christopher D. Hoyt, age 32, from 5 James Street, Pulaski, NY for (1) count of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (D-felony) and (3) counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (E-felony).
Hoyt was arraigned before Hon. Howard Allen, town of Albion Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash/ $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Richland Court on May 2, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
The investigation stemmed from an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) cybertip. The New York State Police were assisted in this investigation by Homeland Security Investigations.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force consists of members from New York State Police, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Marshals Service.
Three suspects charged with manufacturing meth in Lewis County
A two-month-long investigation by the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team into methamphetamine manufacturing culminated with the execution of a search warrant in Lewis County.
On April 26,2018, State Police members from CNET Central, Special Operations Response Team, Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, State Police K-9 Unit, Troop D Uniform Troopers along with members of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Army National Guard Counter Drug Task Force, Lewis County Sheriff’s Dept. and Village of Lowville police Dept. executed a search warrant at 4267 Cherry Street Lyons Falls.
Seized as a result of the warrant were:
- 15 grams of Methamphetamine with a street value in excess of $1,500
- 4 grams of Heroin laced with Fentanyl
- 177 Sudafed Pills
- Numerous assorted prescription pills
- 2 fully automatic 9mm handguns*, 2 semi-automatic handguns*, a revolver*
- 3-gun sound suppressors (silencers)
- 5 assault rifles*
- 11 long guns
- Methamphetamine manufacturing materials
- Assorted ammunition in excess of a thousand rounds
- Numerous high capacity ammunition magazines that were loaded with live ammunition.
*All weapons were illegally possessed.
State Police arrested and charged the following individuals:
Victor G. Ehlers, age 35, from 4267 Cherry Street, Lyons Falls, is facing federal charges of Possession of a Listed Chemical, knowing it will be used to manufacture a controlled substance, and Possession of a firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The defendant was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Baxter and lodged at the Madison County Jail on no bail.
Angela L. Brouty, age 39, from 4267 Cherry Street, Lyons Falls, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Meth-Intent to sell) a class “B” felony and Manufacturing Methamphetamine 3rd degree, a class “D” felony.
Corey D. Marolf, age 21, from 5792 Doviak Road, Turin, for Manufacturing Methamphetamine 3rd degree, a class “D” felony. The defendant also had an active probation warrant for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree (Firearm/Weapon).
Brouty and Marolf were arraigned before town of West Turin Justice Markham and remanded to the Lewis County Jail each on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.
