Christmas Jubilee Tour brings holiday fun and music to Utica area Dec. 2
Sherry Anne to join two celebrated groups for event
The Christmas Jubilee coming to Whitesboro Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, with Greater Vision and Legacy Five will feature Sherry Anne of Utica as a special guest invited to sing with the holiday music extravaganza. The event will be held at Crosspoint Church, 317 Oriskany Boulevard in Whitesboro at 6 p.m.
The program includes a mix of beloved holiday classics, favorite songs, and moments of reflection, thanksgiving, humor, and joy. The Grinch may even make an appearance amid the decorated setting. The event also includes an opportunity for some Gospel-themed holiday shopping.

In this season of giving, Gerald Wolfe has the residents of full-time care facilities on his heart. Visiting his father Mack who had advanced dementia and Parkinson’s disease prompted the idea of placing a DVD series of favorite hymns in the nearly 16,000 full-time care facilities across the United States.
“One day while visiting my dad, a lady with a guitar started to play, ‘In the Sweet By and By,’ in a community room,” Wolfe said. ”At first no one responded, but at the first chorus people began to look up. Half-way through the second verse, some had started singing, and before she finished, all those who could were doing their best to sing along.”
In April 2018, Wolfe launched the nonprofit outreach Operation Sing Again through the Gospel Music Hymn Sing Foundation with the goal to deliver a set of three Gospel Music Hymn Sing DVDs to caring facilities across the U.S. A donation of $30 helps donate a set of the DVDs to one facility. Contributions are tax-deductible.
Operation Sing Again information will be available Dec. 2 when Wolfe visits Whitesboro as the noted gospel groups Greater Vision and Legacy Five bring their Christmas Jubilee tour to Crosspoint Church, 317 Oriskany Blvd. The concert event with holiday classics, favorite songs, and moments of reflection, thanksgiving, hour and joy in a decorated setting begins at 6 p.m.
“Operation Sing Again is a way to bless and encourage the precious people in full-time care facilities with the opportunity to lift their spirits by singing along to the hymns they have grown up with and that remind them God is with them in their praises as they sing,” Wolfe said.
