Assemblyman John Salka (R,C.Ref-Brookfield) issued the following statement in response to the 2019 State of the State Address:
“It was a welcome surprise to see Gov. Cuomo take time out of his downstate agenda to address making the property tax cap permanent. Our hard-working families have been overburdened and ignored for far too long and this is finally a step in the right direction.
“Another step along that road would be to actually focus on upstate infrastructure.
“We have dilapidated roads and bridges and a massive need for broadband access, and I’m frankly disappointed it’s largely sidelined for his progressive agenda.”
Assemblyman John Salka represents the 121st Assembly District, encompasses all of Madison County and portions of Oneida and Otsego counties.
