Local Resident Named to Dean’s List at Cornell University

The following local residents have been named to the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences’ Dean’s List for Fall Semester 2012:

Robert Araujo, a resident of Manlius.

James Barger, a resident of Manlius.

Michael Jacobs, a resident of Manlius.

Daniel Loeffler, a resident of Manlius.

The College of Arts and Sciences is Cornell University’s largest undergraduate college. It provides a high-quality liberal arts education to its own students, and its courses are also accessible to all other students at Cornell. The college’s faculty includes national and international leaders in their respective disciplines.

 

Bongiovanni Named to Dean’s List

Jessie BongiovanniĀ of Manlius has been named to the dean’s list at Quinnipiac University for the Fall 2012 semester.

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.

Area Residents Make Siena College’s Deans’ List

The following local residents have been named to the Siena College Deans’ List for the Fall 2012 semester.

Courtney Cupelo, a senior psychology major of Manlius.

Christina Primo, a junior English major of Manlius.

To be named to the Deans’ List, a student’s grade point average for the semester must be between 3.5 and 3.89.

Local Students Named Clarkson University Presidential Scholars

The following students were named Presidential Scholars for the fall 2012 semester at Clarkson University.

Erin R. Ryan, a sophomore majoring in environmental engineering from Syracuse.

Shayna L. Stearns, a senior majoring in engineering and management from Syracuse.

Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.

Local Students Named to Clarkson University Dean’s List

The following students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester at Clarkson University.

Michael J. Hartnett, a freshman majoring in aeronautical engineering from Truxton.

Monica Lewis, a junior majoring in biology from Manlius.

Hannah McLatchie, a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering from Solvay.

Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Area Residents Make Siena College’s President’s List

The following local residents have been named to the Siena College President’s List for the Fall 2012 semester.

Kristin Case, a senior social work major of Manlius.

Carlie Roman, a junior psychology major of Chittenango.

To be named to the President’s List, a student’s grade point average for the semester must be 3.9 or above. A total of 215 students were named to the President’s List for the Fall 2012 semester.

News from Wells College

Local Students Earn Dean’s List Honors

The following students from Wells College were named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester:

Taryn Heath, class of 2016 of Truxton. Taryn graduated from Homer Senior High School and is a member of the volleyball team at Wells.

Jessica Bland, class of 2013 of Syracuse. Jessica graduated from Fabius-Pompey High School and is majoring in theatre and dance at Wells.

The Dean’s List consists of students who earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for at least 12 hours of coursework in a given semester.
