(Herkimer, NY – Feb. 7, 2014) On Feb. 6, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Unit (CNET) along with Investigators from SP Herkimer executed a search warrant at 1027 Kellogg Ave. in the City of Utica.
State Police arrested Daniel J. Litz, 22, of 1027 Kellogg Ave. in the City of Utica on two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of marijuana. Litz is suspected of committing several larcenies from parked vehicles in Herkimer and Oneida Counties.
He was found to be in possession of property stolen from two separate vehicles in the Village of Ilion and Town of German Flatts, Herkimer County, which occurred Oct. 21. Other property stolen in Oneida County has already been identified and more will likely be identified in the future.
It is anticipated that additional arrests will be forthcoming.
Litz was arraigned in Utica City court and posted $1,000 bail.
