(North Syracuse, NY – March 17, 2014) The New York State Police in North Syracuse conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative compliance check of local establishments in Onondaga County.

Troopers arrested the following individuals:

Karlene G. Schond, age 26, a bartender at “Pascale’s Wine Bar and Restaurant” located at  104 Limestone Plaza, Village of  Fayetteville. Schond was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a minor and Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage.

Ryan J. Patterson, age 21, from East Syracuse, a sales clerk at “Tops Express”, 4600 E. Genesee St., Town of DeWitt. Patterson was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a minor and Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage.

·         Liquor Square, 3150 Erie Blvd E. Syracuse
·         Applebee’s, 3189 Erie Blvd E. Syracuse
·         Express Mart #303, 3300 Erie Blvd E. Syracuse
·         Delta Sonic, 3439 Erie Blvd E. Syracuse
·         TGI Friday’s, 3649 Erie Blvd E. Syracuse

Businesses where a violation takes place are referred to the New York State Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Alcohol consumption by underage consumers has a profound effect on our communities. Teen alcohol consumption is related to traffic accidents, fatalities and crime.
