(Boonville, NY – April 3, 2014) On April 2 Trooper Eric Iacovissi of SP Lee, responded to a burglary complaint on Kerber Road in the Town of Ava where a house was forcibly entered and a large screen television was stolen. The investigation led to the arrest of the following two individuals:
Robert J. Burke, 25, of 1192 Kerber Road, Boonville, who was charged with felony second-degree Burglary and misdemeanor first-degree Unlawfully Dealing With A Child. He is alleged to have also provided alcohol to Sinclair, who is under age 21.
Matthew J. Sinclair, 19, of 221 East Schuyler St., was charged with second-degree Burglary and Unlawful Possession of Alcohol by a Person Less Than 21 years of age.
The stolen television was subsequently recovered.
Burke and Sinclair were arraigned in the Town of Lee Justice Court and were remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $20,000 bail.
The State Police were assisted in this investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
