(Syracuse, NY – Feb. 2015) VNA Homecare, a local leader in home healthcare services, has announced the promotion of Cheryl Manna to Chief Operating Officer.

In her new role, Manna will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring company-wide alignment with competitive strategies to enhance marketplace execution and service delivery to VNA Homecare’s 2,000 plus patients.

“Miss Manna will play a key role in positioning VNA Homecare for continued marketplace success,” said Kate Rolf, president and CEO.  “She brings a diverse set of leadership skills, extensive operations expertise and a successful track record that we will leverage across the system.”

Most recently, Manna served as Director of Managed Care Operations for VNA Homecare Options, LLC, VNA Homecare’s Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) program. In that position, she was responsible for the operations of the plan, including the provider network, member services, transportation, billing and claims.

Manna joined VNA Homecare in 2013, bringing 26 years of home health care experience to the system. She is a graduate of SUNY IT.

Mullen Named Director of Chronic Care Services

VNA Homecare, a local leader in home healthcare services, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jacqueline Mullen, BSN to Director of Chronic Care Services.

In her new role, Mullen will work hand-in-hand with members of VNA Homecare’s clinical leadership team to develop a group of clinicians specifically trained to care for the system’s chronically ill patients.

“We are tremendously proud of Ms. Mullen and all she has been able to accomplish during her short time with VNA Homecare,” said Kate Rolf, system president and CEO. “Her strong management skills, remarkable clinical abilities and high level of integrity have shown her to be a valuable contributor and natural leader. This advancement is well-deserved, and I know she will continue to play an important role in our success.”

Mullen joined VNA Homecare in 2014, bringing with her more than eight years of health care experience.

VNA Homecare Hires Reimbursement Analyst

Christina Frega has joined VNA Homecare as a Reimbursement Analyst, Kate Rolf, system president and chief executive officer, has announced.

In her new role, Frega will perform a wide range of duties necessary to maximize the efficiency of VNA Homecare’s finance department.  She will be responsible for data retrieval and presentation, as well as reporting, analysis, and improvements relating to operational processes.

“The information Ms. Frega will produce, analyze and report upon is critical to measuring the success of VNA Homecare’s process improvement initiatives and performance management,” Rolf states.  “We are thrilled to welcome her to our system, and we look forward to the expertise and experience she brings to our finance team.”

Frega received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management.  A former employee of the American International Group (AIG), she has more than 15 years of corporate finance experience.

VNA Homecare Hires Senior Director of Care Management

Deborah Maciewicz has joined VNA Homecare as Senior Director of Care Management, Kate Rolf, system president and CEO, has announced.

In her new role, Maciewicz will be responsible for the oversight of member enrollment, care management and service delivery for VNA Homecare Options, LLC, the system’s Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plan.

“Mrs. Maciewicz has the proven expertise and leadership skills needed to direct VNA Homecare through the continued development and expansion of our MLTC plan,” Rolf states.  “She is a natural for this role, and I am confident that she will help VNA Homecare achieve our mission of being the premier home and community-based care system for the regions we serve.”

Maciewicz is a graduate of the Marcy Psychiatric Hospital School of Nursing and is certified by the Commission for Case Manager Certification.  The former Director of Clinical Services for Senior Network Health, one of New York State’s first Managed Long Term Care Plans, she has more than 30 years of community health nursing experience.
