(Norwich, NY – Oct. 2015) The public is invited to the first film screening for the 2015-2016 season of the Norwich Monthly Tuesday Film Series at 7 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 20 in the Founders Room at the United Church of Christ, 11 West Main St. in Norwich.
This free admission event, which opens the tenth year of the series, is a viewing of the educational documentary A Fierce Green Fire. The film examines 50 years of grassroots activism, highlighting events described as “battles for a living planet” and celebrates efforts to build a social economic system that supports a sustainable healthy environment for all to enjoy.
The sponsors of the film series, Chenango County Peace Action and C-CARE (Chenango Community Action for Renewable Energy) , offer attendees a light supper, free of charge, at 6:30 before the show and encourage discussion afterwards.
Please note parking is available on the street, in the Hayes Street and County Office Building Parking lots, not in the private church lot.
