(Marcy, NY – Feb. 7, 2013) On Feb. 6 the New York State Police BCI in Marcy arrested Brian M. Jacobs, 38, of 4859 Cedarvale Road, Syracuse and charged him with third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and first-degree Falsifying Business Records, both felonies.
The arrest stemmed from a joint investigation with the New York State Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement.
Jacobs is alleged to have fraudulently obtained oxycodone, a controlled substance, from a local pharmacy.
He was arraigned in the Village of New York Mills Court and was sent to the Oneida County Jail on $20,000 bail.
The case was investigated by Inv Harold Stone of the Narcotics Bureau and Inv Allen Svitak of the BCI in Marcy.
