(Herkimer, NY – Feb. 2013) The Herkimer Community Museum, in conjunction with the Frank J. Basloe Public Library, is having a Crafts & Story Hour on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The Crafts & Story Hour will be held in the Washburn Room of the Basloe Library.
Children will be making their own dinosaur sock puppets. Bring your own tube socks; other craft materials will be provided. Following the crafts and story, children and their families are invited for a guided tour of the Herkimer Community Museum’s exhibits on dinosaurs and ancient Egypt.
Families are asked to register in advance for the event by calling the Basloe Library at (315) 866-1733. Children from the Crafts & Story Hour tour the museum free; there is a suggested $2 donation for each accompanying adult.
