(Rochester, NY – Feb. 13, 2013) Senior Sean Sercu (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney), juniors Mike Nguyen (Syracuse, NY/Jordan-Elbridge), and Greg Jones (Weare, NH/John Stark), and sophomores Nick Fisk (Las Cruces, NM/Mayfield), and Jake Swearingen (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) of the RIT wrestling team were named to the 2013 Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) All-Academic Team on Wednesday.
To earn All-Academic honors, the student-athletes must have at least sophomore eligibilty have competed in three official contests during the season, and have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average.
RIT is back in action on Saturday, as they compete in a dual meet against ECWC rival Oneonta State. The match from Oneonta gets underway at 2 p.m.
