(Whitesboro, NY – Feb. 2013) Members of Herkimer County Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams spent an afternoon during winter break at Westmoreland Road and Harts Hill Elementary Schools.
The student-athletes and coaches conducted bullying presentations and activities with the students as part of the Athletic Department’s Adopt-a-School program, which includes visits throughout the year to local elementary and middle schools to promote education, teamwork and civility.
Harts Hill Elementary School Principal Lisa Putnam said, “The program was excellent! The students, faculty and I really appreciated the program!”
