(Earlville, NY – March 2013 The Earlville Opera House invites you to join us in celebrating 20 years of KidsART, an extravaganza of original artwork created by elementary school students from 11 schools in Central New York. Since the first KidsART exhibit in 1993, participation has grown to more than 250 budding artists and has provided more than 4,000 children an opportunity to share their artistic visions in a professional gallery setting.
Two other exhibits will introduce kids and families to contemporary art. In the East Gallery, Amy Ho’s Shift may challenge expectations of “art on the walls” by engaging the senses in a large-scale spatial installation of light. Vic Rosenberg’s photography exhibit features images of both the Maasai people and African wildlife during his 2011 trip to Tanzania.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday March 9 from noon to 3 p.m. in the West Gallery. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free.
The Earlville Opera House is located at 18 East Main Street in Earlville. The KidsART exhibit will run March 9 through April 13.
