(Edmeston, NY – March 2013) NYCM Insurance won the Gold Stevie Award for best Customer Service Department in the Financial Services category in the seventh annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service held in Las Vegas on Feb. 25.

NYCM Insurance is a personal lines insurance company that serves residents of New York State. It was recently recognized by J.D. Power and Associates as the second best insurance company to do business with in the Northeast.

“Our customer service representatives are dedicated professionals who are very deserving of this award,” said Jeremy Robinson, vice president of marketing for NYCM Insurance. “During the past few years, we have put several processes in place to help our customers.  For example, we formed a catastrophe team to be able to respond quickly when devastating events such as Hurricane Sandy occur, and we upgraded our phone system so that all team members can handle customer inquiries originating from multiple sources, including email, chat and mobile apps.”

More than 1,100 entries from organizations of all sizes were submitted to this year’s Stevie competition, an increase of 10 percent over 2012.  Finalists were determined by the average scores of 120 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges. More than 100 members of eight specialized judging committees determined Stevie Award placements from among the finalists during final judging this year.
