(Oxford, NY – April 2, 2013) The Chenango County dairy industry is seeking candidates to serve as members of the 2013-2014 Dairy Princess Court. The coronation of the dairy princess and her court will take place at the 50th annual coronation banquet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on June 1 at the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College.
Any single young woman between the age of 16 and 24, from a dairy background or with an interest in the dairy industry is an eligible candidate for the position of dairy princess. Eligible dairy ambassadors are girls and boys ages five years and older. All eligible individuals are encouraged to consider devoting their time to further the interests of Chenango County’s the largest industry .
The 2013-2014 Princess and her court will serve the dairy industry of Chenango County for one year. Together, she and the court will make many appearances at schools, grocery stores, and have the opportunity to speak to civic clubs, senior citizens groups, farm and non-farm audiences and to appear on television and radio. In addition, she will represent the dairy industry in parades, at fairs, and at the New York State Dairy Princess Pageant in Syracuse, NY.
