(Utica, NY – April 2013) The Mohawk Valley Regional Volunteer Center, in celebration of National Volunteer Week (April 21 through 27, 2013), has awarded Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. a grant in the amount of
CFLR Compeer Program Day of Clean Up Volunteers 4_22_13$250.00 to support CFLR, Inc. in its volunteer efforts. Funds from this grant will be used to provide enrichment activities through CFLR, Inc.’s Compeer Program.

CFLR, Inc. recently hosted a “Day of Clean-Up” at the Utica Zoo in celebration of National Volunteer Week and Earth Day on Monday, April 22, 2013. This multi-generational community service event – held at the zoo – brought together volunteers from CFLR, Inc.’s Compeer Program, Young Scholars Liberty Partnerships Program (YSLPP), and CFLR, Inc. family and staff members. This special event also garnered volunteers from around our Community.

“This family friendly event allowed our volunteers to make a visible difference at the Utica Zoo [by] completing a project on their “to do” list,” said Judith H. Reilly, Compeer Program Coordinator for CFLR, Inc. “[Additionally] MVRVC’s funding will be used to purchase any items needed for future projects as well as to support CFLR, Inc.’s Compeer Program.”
